About our board members

Mission Statement


The Mission of this organization shall be twofold:
  • To enhance the professional goals of its membership, and
  • To further the growth of the profession primarily on a state level

    The purpose of this Association shall be:
  • The progressive development of the therapeutic use of art
  • The advancement of research
  • The improvement of standards of practice
  • The development of criteria for the training of art therapists
  • The provision of means for the exchange of information and experience
  • To uphold the purposes and objectives of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA)

    The objectives of this Association shall be:
  • To aim treatment most effectively toward rehabilitation and the improvement of human welfare
  • To improve the effectiveness of those engaged in art therapy, be means of meetings and seminars
  • To encourage the development of professional training opportunities in art therapy
  • To attract people to the field of art therapy
